After having our mattress for 13 years and my developing lower back pain my husband and I decided it was time for a new mattress. We are both in our seventies but still very active and sleep well. Thinking it was time for a new mattress I began my online research for a mattress that would be recommended for a stomach sleeper with lower back issues. I prefer a firm mattress and need to feel cool as I sleep. My husband does not have sleeping issues and pretty much told me to get a mattress that would satisfy my needs. I began my search by visiting mattress stores in my area. I had an idea in mind as to what mattress I wanted. I was looking for a firm mattress designed to help alleviate back pain. I visited some of my local mattress stores to physically try out some mattresses. None of the salespeople that I encountered really took the time to explain to me the various features of different mattresses and how they would coincide with my needs. Then my husband and I decided to visit The Mattress Factory on Brunswick Pike in Lawrenceville, NJ where we met Ron Stone. As we entered the store (wearing our masks) I was first impressed by the cleanliness of the store and the number of mattresses that were displayed. From the corner of the store I heard a very enthusiastic “Hi, my name is Ron. How can I help you?” My husband and I introduced ourselves and I proceeded to explain to Ron what I was looking for and my concerns about getting a mattress to help with helping reduce my back pain. Ron immediately made us feel at ease not an easy thing to do when we were peering over 70 different mattresses in the store. Ron took us through different types of mattresses featuring different types of layers and coil arrangements. Each time he encouraged us to lie down and asked for our feedback as to how it felt and he really listened to what we said. Each time he observed body position and how the mattress provided support and back alignment. Ron’s knowledge and expertise made us feel very confident that his advice would help us select the proper mattress. The experience was similar to receiving a personal fitting from a tailor for a piece of clothing. Ron “fitted” our body types, sleeping habits, needs and concerns to a mattress. Using our feedback and what Ron observed we tried about 8 different styles until we found the one we all agreed would work for us, the Serta icomfort 2000 Hybrid firm. After our selection was made, Ron called to check availability of the mattress and there was one available in the warehouse. Ron provided us with instructions on delivery and how to track the delivery process. In this time of Covid when most folks are waiting weeks for a delivery, our mattress was delivered within a few days. Overall our experience purchasing our mattress could not have been any better. Much of this was due to the professionalism, expertise and guidance provided to us by Ron Stone. Mattress Factory is very fortunate to have Ron as a representative of their company and we were fortunate enough to have him as our salesperson.
