We have been shopping for a mattress set for a while and hated every store we went into. Let me start by saying that mattresses do not thrill me. I do not need adjustable frames, cooling gel foam or air bladders to get a good night's sleep. I am not interested in spending $7K for a for some springs and a chunk of foam. Sleepys was okay but was purchased by Mattress Firm before we went back to make the purchase. The stock completely changed and the prices doubled. They seemed more interested in their financing plans than mattresses. Then we went to Macy's in Plymouth Meeting. No salesperson to be found on the first visit so we chose some possibilities and went back after the holidays. After another 10 minute wait in the deserted back corner where they display mattresses, we dragged a furniture salesman into the mattress department and he told us the only thing we could buy was one of the floor models, because the store was closing. Since I did not want a queen size with a history of 3,000 strangers laying on it, we left. That is how we landed at Mattress Factory, which is conveniently located directly across the street from the mall. The sales staff greeted us when we walked in the door, asked us what we needed and directed us to several good options. Prices are reasonable and all of the name brands are represented. They do not work on commission so there was no pressure but they know their product. We bought a King Koil set on Saturday and it was delivered the following Tuesday. The entire experience was pleasant and professional. I would definitely recommend Mattress Factory
